About
I'm an illustrator based in Accrington, currently in my third year studying Illustration at the University of Lancashire. My work is led by a love of nature, texture, and quiet everyday moments. I often work in watercolour and pencil, building soft, layered images that feel both observational and slightly imaginative. I’m drawn to small narratives and character design, especially animals and nature-based subjects, where I can bring in a sense of whimsy. My sketchbook plays a big role in my process, allowing me to explore ideas freely and develop stories in an organic way. I intend to continue the development of my practice by undertaking the M.A. Children's Book Illustration course, where I can combine storytelling with my interest in the natural world. I want to create work that feels gentle, engaging and invites people into small, thoughtful and slightly magical spaces.
Project overview
The home we share
A few forest friends living amicably in a tree house in the depth of the forest, each having their own daily chores, thriving as a family. This will explore educational themes such as true friendship, asking for help when in need, kindness, sharing, cooperation and honesty.
